Rapscallions & Rosé; The Côte d'Azur on a luxury Motor Yacht

The only thing better than the Côte d'Azur, is a boat trip along the Côte d'Azur!

We jumped aboard the rather luxurious 69ft Princess motor yacht ‘Shaw Life’ in Antibes and had five days meandering down the mediterranean coastline. The sun was out, the water was warm, the drinks were chilled and the company was second to none!

Our sunshine hours were spent in the sea.

Seabobs are brilliant fun! They’ll accelerate you along the surface until you push the nose underwater and dive. The mermaid in me was at home.

We were also stoked to to play on this electric jet surfboard. Don’t judge the wobbles… it was my first ever go at it!

Grubs up!

Of course, you can have all the toys but you have nothing without your favourite rapscallion’s, and rosé.

Nights at anchor are always special, you’re in your own floating world with all your favourite people.

Sometimes we would even go ashore to explore.

It’s hard to beat boat life but we wouldn’t be worth our sailor salt if we didn’t like a party.

In Monaco we dined on the top deck, lit by 270 degrees of panoramic bright city lights, followed by Cafe de Paris for eye-wateringly expensive Margaritas, hit up Buddah Bar and danced our little soles away in Sass Cafe until the wee hours.

Michealangelos in Antibes is excellent traditional Italian food with excellent traditional service, without the stuffy atmosphere. Do not leave without a deep spoonful of the lemon meringue pie.

L’Opera in St Tropez is art and dinner. Trapeze artists dangle outside, the atmosphere is sparkly. Certainly the swankiest restaurant I’ve ever been in where dancing on the tables is positively encouraged!

Anjuna Beach, season closing party. The theme was ‘White’. We were not white for long. Arrive by tender and dance barefoot on the turquoise chairs and tables overlooking the mediterranean sea to Eddie Jordan and his band drumming away to irish jigs and house favourites. Jeroboam of Rosé is obligatory.

Well, that was fun.
